Platform
Software that runs storage on the market
This is what Wesfin uses to run battery storage on Ukraine’s power markets: a DAM and IDM bidding optimiser, connection to the site EMS, a multi-site view and a public market-data API.

DAM prices from our API
The latest day-ahead auction from the Market Operator. The public endpoint /api/dam/latest returns the same data.

DAM and IDM arbitrage optimiser
A battery charges when power is cheap and discharges when it is expensive. The gap can be large: on 14.04.2026 the DAM price ranged from 11 to 13,767 UAH/MWh within one day. The optimiser decides when a cycle actually pays.
Two cycle families
Night → Morning
Charge in low-price night hours, discharge into the morning peak.
Day → Evening
Charge at midday when solar output pushes prices down, discharge into the evening peak.
If the net spread is below the threshold, the battery waits. A loss-making cycle is not run.
A 36-hour planning horizon: DAM auction results and available IDM data give an hourly schedule that respects the site’s power, energy and limits.
What is taken off the spread
Round-trip efficiency
Part of the energy is lost in each cycle; the optimiser counts what reaches the grid.
Degradation
Each cycle carries a wear cost for the LFP cells, by depth of discharge.
Fees and slippage
Market fees and the gap between the bid and the price actually achieved.
State-of-charge band
Typically 15–85 %, to protect the battery and keep a margin for deviations.
Operator demo dashboard
This is how a battery’s day will look in the dashboard. Prices come from a real auction; the state of charge is modelled, not operating data.

Equipment and sites
The platform runs on top of existing equipment and grows with the number of sites.
EMS integration
Connects to the site’s energy management system. An adapter layer translates protocols, so equipment on site stays as it is.
Multiple sites
From one container to several sites: one view, combined reports and figures for each site separately.
Reports and audit log
Every bid and command goes into an audit log. Reports are produced as PDF.
Market-data API
DAM prices are open to everyone without a key, with rate limits. Optimiser calculations and FX rates are open to partners with a key.

Who owns this today
The platform belongs to the group; separate Wesfin products sell and run it.
- Wesfin FlexAggregator
The group’s aggregator: customers’ storage, solar and flexible demand will reach the market through it. NEURC granted the aggregator licence on 13.10.2026.
